How to Prepare a Project?
In this article, I will talk about the concept of the project, which we often encounter in our education and business life, and the processes of project preparation.
If we explain the concept of “Project” which we hear a lot; We can make a definition as finding a solution to a problem and working towards eliminating the deficiencies on existing products. The most important feature of a project is that a product / idea / result comes out at the end.
It is possible to prepare projects on any desired and targeted subject. However, complying with some points to be considered in this preparation process will protect us from possible mistakes in the future and will ensure a healthy project. Now, let’s examine these issues a little bit;
· The originality of the project always makes you stand out! (Not all of us have to be entrepreneurs, but creating unique projects always pays off.)
· The problem expected to be solved in the project should be determined thoroughly and the starting point should be conveyed accurately.
· The goals to be achieved in the project should be determined correctly at the beginning and at the end of the project it should be shown how these goals were achieved.
·No matter what subject (social areas, scientific, academic, literary, art, etc.) the project is prepared, it is necessary to act in accordance with the project cycle in order for the project to be formed in the best way.
We have mentioned a few points that we should pay attention to in preparing projects. Well, how would you like to examine the concept of “Project Cycle” mentioned earlier and examine the stages of project preparation now?
PROJECT CYCLE
The project cycle is a name given to the entire project preparation process. By the end of a project cycle, the project is now complete.
- Determining the Project Idea: Of course, a project is not possible without an idea. Therefore, if we want to develop a project, we must first start from an idea.
- Analysis of the Project Idea: We need to analyze the idea we have from all angles and consider how we can work on it and its suitability according to alternative ideas. Afterwards, the designs of the project and the activity / budget planning should be made.
- Preliminary Evaluation: A pre-evaluation is made to what extent the project has a consistent, applicable, stable and dynamic structure. If it is a financed project, the project is presented to the relevant funding sources.
- Financing: If you are running a funded project, you cannot progress without this phase. This stage, where funding sources evaluate the project and provide you with the appropriate budget, is of vital importance for the ongoing process.
- Application: Since not every project is implemented in a practice-oriented manner, this stage may vary according to the structure of the project. But if we explain it in general, it is the realization of project ideas.
- Evaluation: The results and analysis obtained at the end of the project are evaluated.
This process, which we summarize in short sentences, can take months and sometimes years. Therefore, the main thing we need in the project development process is “patience”. I hope that this article has been able to help you master the basic lines and processes of the project, even a little. Thank you for reading :)
